We’d like to refer you to the previous post on the blog with the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Please figure 150% of those incomes. Now if your family income is less than or even $1,000 above those guidelines, you may be qualified for a lot of entitlements.
On Firstgov.gov website you find an exhaustive list of entitlements or benefits. You can click around and research any that may apply to your situation. The qualifications are also there. Plus you can read about the program and see if it will give you the help you are looking for.
Another, and perhaps the best, resource for entitlements or benefits is your local Department of Health and Human Resources. Nearly every county in the nation has one. Make an appointment and don’t forget that they are there to help you and do an excellent job at it.
It is important to remember that entitlements aren’t for everyone or for every purpose. Make sure to do some research and see if they fit your needs. If yes, jump in and get started.
